Our Professionals

A dynamic team of board members, staff, volunteers, and generous supporters collaborate to ensure that the South Asian community has access to high quality and comprehensive programs.

SAHARA’s core competency lies in providing culturally sensitive and linguistically specific supportive services to the South Asian community. This is done by engaging multilingual, bicultural professionals who are able to deliver high quality, individualized services grounded in best practices.  This team of professionals share a collective goal to offer services that, not only provide a path to self-sufficiency and well-being, but also foster feelings of safety, connectedness, respect, and dignity.

SAHARA’s professional staff include Psychologists, Attorneys, Social Workers, Case Managers, and Administrators, many who are of South Asian descent, which provides them the inherent understanding of South Asian culture and the duality of being South Asian in American society.
